The Amazing Havanese

The Havanese Breed comes from Cuba, and originated during the 1600’s when the European settlers brought their small companion dogs to Cuba. It is believed that the Havanese came from breeding Maltese and Poodle to Bichon type dogs.

From the very beginning, Havenese have always been bred to be companions dogs. They love nothing more than being with their owners, which has led them to being nicknamed “Velcro Dogs“.

Havanese are known for their happy and laid back personalities, making them easy to fall in love with. Their soft, non shedding coats makes them easy to cuddle with, and have the advantage of being hypoallergenic.
